Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is a well-known American actor, producer and director. She has been praised for her roles in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles and The Incredibles. She has won numerous awards for her work and has even won an Oscar. The accomplished actress started her acting career in the theatre with an array of Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. She has always had an interest in acting ever since she was in high school. Her debut role in a play in fifth grade was in Helen Keller. The mumps caused her to lose hearing in one her ear canals, but that was not enough to stop the actress from pursuing her dream. In her early years, she studied drama in the college level and then moved from Pittsburgh to New York City from Pittsburgh in order to achieve her goals. Hunter came across Beth Henley by chance in the lift. Together they composed Broadway Crimes of the Heart. The play was Hunter's first acting debut. After moving from Los Angeles she tried to obtain film roles and was offered a supporting role for the role of a supporting character in Swing Shift. She has since appeared in a number of films, TV series and films over the course of a 30 year career. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and also the Women in Film Lucy Award.
